New Years Eve meal. I was very surprised to get a table on new years eve as I'd left it late to book somewhere. Was thrilled to get a table and the food and service did not disappoint. I had the pate to start and the chicken curry for my main. Both were lovely, the chicken curry was delicious and one of the best curries I've ever had. I did have a dessert of pear and apple trifle but I really didn't need it as I was full but this was also very good . Service was excellent. Will definitely be back .

Excellent service excellent food. It is not cheap, but the price reflects the quality of the food and the service. Comfortable and not packed close to fit in as many tables as possible. My only criticism is that it may be a little bright in there and less "intimate" than other places. But if you want a great meal with an excellent menu, this is the place to go..

If you are looking for basic pub food this is the wrong place to go. The food experience was Michelin class. The plating was simple with the main ingredient showcased. The vegetable were all placed on seperate plate. The duck was cooked perfectly and well seasoned. If in Tavistock you should not miss this experience if you are a food lover. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Firstly the food is absolutely amazing though not cheap. The staff are very polite and can’t do enough to make your dining experience the best it can be. The rooms are so nice especially if you have one of the big rooms with the freestanding baths. Location is fab right in the centre of Tavistock and only a cpl of miles and you are deep on Dartmoor. All in all perfect

This place is impeccable! The food is next to none!!! I had the scotch egg for starters the other day and I was blown away by how amazing it was!!! I've never had anything like it in my life! The chef deserves a medal!

Came here for food last night with a couple of friends & all three of us thoroughly enjoyed it. For starters I had the Scotch egg, cooked perfectly and paired with the small blue cheese salad it was a great choice. The chicken curry for main was one of the best curries I've eaten at a restaurant ( aside from a curry house ). Full of flavour, chicken thigh meat used & the home made tzatziki went well with the flat bread and I felt fat at full come the end! Didn't really need a dessert in all honesty but couldn't resist. You can't go wrong with a sticky toffee pudding either right! Finished off with a coffee, one of the best meals I've eaten out in a long time. Service was decent and the restaurant itself is a nice setting also. Looking forward to coming back!

Popped in for an impromptu lunch and so glad we chose this place. Lovely pint of Estella, perfectly presented and the burgers were excellent. Friendly staff and nice decor. The pub has a really warm and welcoming feel about it. Wouldn’t hesitate to pop in again when in the area. Would like to try more of the menu.

One of the Best meals we have had anywhere. Theorie fish and chips was outstanding. The chips are crispy outside but super soft inside We also had the sea bream on a sauce of seaweed and brown shrimp. It was a taste so delicious i kept it on my.mind several days. Very attentive staff
